Welcome to Berlin, my first stop on the Contiki "Berlin to Budapest" tour. Very historical, very grey, very orderly. You don't think much when you walk around till someone points out that you're standing where Hitler's troops were standing as he gave his speeches. You then visualize the soldiers marching down Unter den Linden Strasse, and you can almost see the swastika banners roll down the buildings. You definetly get chills down your spine. Then seeing the wall, and realizing that 20 years ago this was the most dangerous place in the world to be at, is a pretty emotional moment.
